Hi, I’m a Hamburg-based trained musician/drummer with lots of live & studio experience. Currently I am involved in a number of projects in different styles of music (Trip Hop, Hip Hop, Singer/Songwriter).
I offer drum lessons for all ages; from beginners to advanced players who are looking to improve their musicianship. Central to my lessons is an approach that is goal oriented while also combining lots of fun, where your needs and experiences shape the basis of the lesson. My background in education has made me sensitive to the learning needs of children and adults, which I apply to teaching. My years of drum study, both in group and one on one settings with great musicians and tutors has enriched my musicians’ worldview, and led to a desire on my part to pass on what others have so generously taught me over the years. My many hours of tutelage serve as a sign post for my own approach which is rigorous, and grounded in the knowledge of those that preceded me.
The drum set is a fascinating instrument, one that offers a whole universe of articulation and playing possibilities. By learning technical skills, a music vocabulary, as well as concepts for creative practice, you’ll be able to access these possibilities. My lessons support your musical goals, as I aim to help you develop your own style of playing the drums. In short: I teach the drums holistically; one must become fluent in the language of music, and then approach drumming with heart, body and soul. It’s an exhilarating moment once you’ve mastered an instrument to be able to infuse a song with your own unique energy.

After living abroad for many years lessons can be held in either German or English.
